A NEW DIRECTION FOR SEVERN VALLEY FLOWERS
Severn Valley Flowers - Farewell flowers arrangement
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE EVOLUTION OF SEVERN VALLEY FLOWERS FOR THE END OF 2025.
Itβs been a longer while than usual since I've written to update everyone but we are very excited to announce that we have launched our new website. Today we have gone live and you can visit us here @severnvalleyflowers.com. It has been an exhilarating few months of planning, curating and rebranding with our transformation skillfully guided by the immensely talented @ruthyardy
Providing huge inspiration, much tuition and guidance, Ruth and her team began to create our new brand starting with an Autumnal photoshoot here on the farm . With much thought and concentration we now begin to promote Severn Valley Flowers in its new guise.
Why rebrand? 2026 will see the garden enter its fourth year, and it's provided many avenues of which we've had huge enjoyment exploring. Growing; how to plan properly, grow well, take your best shot at reading the weather - and the ground. Floristry; finding where personal style takes you and learning to make the time to indulge and practise. Photography; another world of endless learning that's seamlessly connected to floristry. Workshops, at home and at the garden - we've loved the social element of welcoming all into our world, including returning folk who just love their time amongst flowers. Collaboration with other growers across the region; wonderful connections have been made across a wider community of passionate and talented people who continue to grow their businesses as more customers prioritise locally grown flowers. We feel truly bedded in and now itβs time to move onwards to focus on what's perfect for us- growing cut flowers to create unique and inspiring, seasonally led funeral flowers. The new website, we hope you will agree, conveys our message beautifully.
We will still be hosting occasional workshops too and, as always, weβll share details so you know when. Christmas wreath making has been another success - it's our favourite time of the year, knee deep in moss and fir. Thank you for every order. We will continue to create for all who would like one for years to come.
The New Year will also see the beginning of another adventure for us. I have begun to paint canvas backdrops - they are a beautiful resource for floral designers and photographers, providing flexibility and convenience with an endless range of colour that allows for any arrangement to look its absolute best on camera. With interest from other floral designers we decided it was worthy of itβs own presence online. Sarah Pitt Studio is now on Instagram - you can follow us here @sarahpittstudio . The new website will be launching in January where there will be pieces available to buy, as backdrops or abstract art for home. Please follow us as we forge another exciting path.
January, intended for hibernation, is really a luxurious time for planning where we look forward to sifting through endless amounts of seed catalogues resisting over-ordering. And, of course, we look forward to longer days. With the driest summer behind us weβll be considering carefully how best to operate and adjust what we do in the garden, whilst keeping an eye on the plants and choosing the next long term foliage additions in Spring.
We will also be looking forward again to the Flowers from the Farm conference and to updating you with more news very soon.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a wonderful start to 2026.
